Designs On Your

A three-programme series on two men’s attempts to change the design of some much-loved classics. The average breast size in Britain has changed from 34B in the ’50s to 36C today and yet the basic design of the bra has hardly changed. Currently, only 10 per cent of women say they’ve found a bra that really fits. The solution? A plastic bra that moulds to fit any form. But will underwear company Charnos accept it? Richard Seymour and Dick Powell attempt to persuade sceptical sanitation supermen, Shires, to take on their design for a loo that’s bloke friendly, easy to clean and has a forceful flush. Electric car company Pivco is Richard and Dick’s next stop. They develop a three-in-one-car, but this time, they come up against that classic design dilemma – cost cutting.
