Live Now, Pay Later looks at how young people are increasingly affected by today’s culture of “must have” materialism
This series of five, character-led films asks whether their ‘spend, spend, spend’ obsessions are causing huge financial and social problems that they'll carry into adulthood or whether they have enough sense to turn the tide of rising debt? The programmes ask where responsibility lies for the growing number of under-30s declaring bankruptcy – with the credit card companies promising ready cash to gullible teenagers, with the parents who continue to bail their children out of trouble, or with the young people themselves.
