Lost Gardens Of Heligan

image

Tim Smit is a romantic. He has to be. Europe’s largest garden restoration this century requires a dreamer’s vision. But it also requires hard work by the spadeful. Once the most beautiful and imaginative garden in Cornwall, Heligan was ‘lost’ when most of its 50 gardeners were killed during the First World War. Seventy-five years of neglect had seen it deteriorate into a tangled mess of brambles and nettles.

The series follows Smit and his team of 16 gardeners, builders and designers as they put order into the overgrown paradise. A visual feast, expertly filmed.
