Snatched is the story of Liverpool mother Alison Lalic, who is living through every parent's nightmare. Since her husband disappeared with their two young daughters six years ago, she hasn't seen or heard from them. In desperation she turns to 'child-snatcher' Donya al-Nahi, a British housewife who has gained a reputation for recovering children kidnapped overseas where the British law is powerless to help.
The documentary follows their dangerous journey to find Alison's daughters, travelling first to the remote Bosnian village where Alison believes her husband is living in hiding, and where they plan to snatch the girls back off the street. But when her ex-husband's family refuse to reveal the exact whereabouts of the children and their father, the documentary team use secret filming and other controversial techniques to find their answers. Alison's lost daughters are located at last - concealed where their recovery could not be more difficult or dangerous. But after such a long time apart from their mother, how will the girls react to being 'found'?
