Take three iconic figures of the twentieth century and rebuild their bodies using CGI in a futuristic autopsy room

This series examines Marilyn Monroe, John F Kennedy and Adolf Hitler in individual episodes, assessing their lives, strengths and weaknesses in a new light.

Marilyn Monroe exuded a simmering vitality. But inside the super-body, she was far from well. Marilyn suffered from clinical depression and for most of her adult life she suffered excruciating pain caused by a chronic problem in her womb. She also suffered from insomnia and became hopelessly addicted to barbiturates and consequently died aged 36, of a barbiturate overdose. John F Kennedy was the youngest man ever elected President of the United States - an image of vigour and energy but the truth behind the image was very different. Using computer technology and the latest biographical research THE BODY OF tells the story of JFKs struggles with severe stomach problems, crumbling bones, and a potentially lethal problem with his adrenal glands. Adolf Hitler killed himself in 1945 as the Russian Army closed in on his Berlin Bunker. German troops burnt his body beyond all recognition which led to many myths about the Nazi leader. The series examines what was causing the tremors running down his left side, the terminal heart condition, and the excruciating stomach pains that left him doubled over? We recreate Hitler's body from birth to death to find out the truth and to explore how his illnesses and the drugs he was taking changed the course of the Second World War.
