In 2005, 5 year old Novemthree stole the hearts of viewers as he courageously endured a marathon of surgeries that gave him a face, and gave him back his childhood.
His triumphant return to the community that had once abandoned him marked a dramatic turning point in the child’s life. But the pioneering Tzu Chi doctors who had performed the miraculous work knew that it was not the end of Novemthree’s struggle, and that he would face further battles against his condition - and, as it turned out, against the odds. This new film is a touching tribute to a very brave little boy, told through interviews with those who were closest to him: his parents and the doctors who worked so tirelessly to give him what nature had denied.
