Miracle Police, The

image

Miracles may happen, and recently they’ve been happening more often than usual. Apparently. In the last 20 years, the Pope has acknowledged hundreds of miracles – more than all of his 20th-century predecessors put together. His critics say that the growing number represents a blatant attempt to draw the masses back to the Catholic church in an age of religious cynicism. The job of deciding the validity of reported miracles belongs to The Miracle Police, a team of Vatican-appointed medical, theological and scientific experts who travel the world investigating reports of medically impossible recoveries. Equinox travels with them to their investigations into three miracles, and invites sceptics to change their minds.
