MTV presents The Inbetweeners USA , the story about a group of friends plotting a course through the awkward and often humiliating journey of being a teenager.
The Inbetweeners USA is a major new primetime comedy from MTV and the 12-part series will World premiere in 2012. The series stars Bubba Lewis, Joey Pollari, Zack Pearlman and Mark L. Young – together they are the four gawky teenagers at the centre of the show. Bubba Lewis’ previous acting roles include performances on Numb3rs and Grey’s Anatomy; Joey Pollaris joins from the Disney television film Avalon High and an appearance on Cold Case; Zack Pearlman shot to fame in the 2010 film The Virginity Hit (produced by Will Ferrell) and Mark L. Young, who played the recurring role of Franky in the third season of HBO’s Big Love and has also appeared in episodes of Dexter, Criminal Minds and CSI :NY.
They aren’t popular. They aren’t losers either. They exist somewhere in the middle. They’re “inbetweeners.”
Brad Copeland has penned the first episode of The Inbetweeners USA and will executive produce alongside Aaron Kaplan, as well as Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, the creators of the UK original. Taika Waititi (Flight of the Conchords) directs.
