Corfu: A Tale of Two Islands

image

A microcosm of Britain on a Mediterranean Island

Corfu is buzzing – 500,000 Brits fly there each summer and around 15,000 have even chosen to live there. It is the No.1 Greek holiday island for British holidaymakers, who easily out-number every other nationality holidaying on the island. In fact, each summer more Brits set foot on Corfu than Greeks.

This series follow expats and holidaymakers from all walks of life over the course of the 2012 season (from April to end of August) highlighting the contrasts between rich and poor, young and old, and English and Greek in a country that relies on tourism to survive, but is in the throes of economic meltdown.
