The popular series debuts for BBC1
In each 60 minute programme a couple is given fourteen thousand pounds to pay for their wedding day. The catch is that the entire organisation and managing of the budget has to be done by the groom in just three weeks.
As the wedding is
organised in secret, the bride and groom are not allowed any contact until the
wedding day, while the groom and his best man plan the biggest day of her life,
right down to her dress.
Nearly one hundred episodes of Don’t Tell the Bride have been transmitted on BBC3 over the past nine years.
Now BBC One has
commissioned six one hour programmes. The
couples may be older, most have kids, some even have grand kids but how well do
they really know each-other? What could
possibly go wrong?
