Inside the Ambulance - Season 6

image image

Up close and personal with dedicated paramedics

Using a mobile rig of 10 cameras, this authentic series gives a unique perspective on what it’s like to respond to emergency calls. Paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service wear bodymounted cameras, taking us right to the heart of the action. As well as revealing everything that happens as they respond to 999 calls - from overdoses to bumps on the head - their cameras also capture their candid conversations between call-outs, reflecting on subjects ranging from why animals lay down to the best way to eat a crème egg! In these new series we follow the team as they deal with everything from seizures and sepsis to car crashes and post operative complications. Series six is particularly intense as it covers the teams working the hectic and emotional Christmas and New Year period. The crews go to the rescue of a man who’s collapsed doing his Christmas
shopping and help a family who are tragically facing death in the early hours of Christmas Day. They are also called out to a patient with an amputated leg who’s fallen after drinking and to a young man who has been stabbed. Jump on board and watch these wonderful paramedics display expertise, resilience, emotion and strength in a job that few people could ever begin to handle.
