Full steam ahead into troubled waters

Series 2 sees the crew aboard a new HMAS Hammersley heading full steam ahead into very troubled waters that will involve a jewel heist at sea, drug and reptile smugglers, some heroic rescues, a stolen arms racket, hostage taking, disastrous drink spiking, stowaways and sinister international intrigue.

It’s not clear sailing for the Hammersley’s crew on all fronts.

Two of the close knit team are washed overboard, one crew member is the victim of a stabbing, and another suffers a sexual assault.

That is just the day job.

On board the vessel there’s a tidal flow of emotion as a love triangle begins to form, and unresolved sexual tension between the healthy young warriors takes its toll.

An unlikely friendship is formed, tempting careers are offered, and there’s an unexpected change in the chain of command.

Running strongly through each stand-alone episode is a continuing story, awash with suggestions of political manipulation, suspect mercenaries and a mega-plot that could see Australia involved in a web of international corruption.

There has been trouble in the Solomon Islands and Fiji; now Australia must turn its attention to the strife torn archipelago of Samaru, which has attracted the attention of some very unusual villains.

Starring:

Saskia Burmeister (Ned Kelly, Pirate Islands, The Jammed)

Ian Stenlake (Stingers, Murder Call, Natural Selection)

Lisa McCune (Little Fish, MDA, Tripping Over)
