Episode 1

The team race to the rescue of a tanker driver trapped in the wreckage of his crushed cab  after a collision with a concrete gantry on the M1. As firefighters try to establish if the tanker’s toxic cargo is leaking, Paramedic Paul puts his own safety on the line to climb onto the truck to deliver pain killing drugs to his patient.

In South Yorkshire, a waste disposal plant catches fire, spewing poisonous smoke into the air over a housing estate. The team must evacuate residents and treat workers injured in the blast as red hot aerosol cans rain down from the sky.

Team leader Rochers races to save the life of a DIY mechanic trapped under his one-ton car after a jack collapses. The man is close to death and the team have seconds to free him and deliver life-saving treatment as his frantic wife watches.

The owner of a factory collapses with a sudden cardiac arrest and the team launch a desperate battle to resuscitate him with the help of a flying doctor.

A sunbathing teenager plunges off a 40ft cliff and local paramedics call for back-up from HART after they diagnose a potentially serious spinal injury. Meanwhile, a dispute on a building site ends with a pick-axe embedded in the bonnet of a brand new Range Rover and the man wielding it requiring first aid for a nasty eye injury.

Episode 2

The team race to respond to a major chemical leak endangering the lives of thousands of people. In Leeds, an elderly motorist is run over by his own car and the HART medics fight to free his leg after it becomes trapped around the front wheel.

There’s a dramatic emergency at an abandoned school after a teenager falls 30ft down the chimney into an underground boiler room, sustaining serious leg injuries. Team leader Emma must comfort his mum - as well as co-ordinate a tricky rescue.

Meanwhile, paramedics Gemma and Darren must put on their climbing kit when a psychiatric patient scales scaffolding outside a big city hospital and threatens to jump.

After a road accident in West Yorkshire, the team find their trapped patient is a former SAS trooper but when they discover he’s suffering from brittle bone disease they must improvise to avoid worsening his injuries.

Episode 3

In Bradford, a man is gunned down outside a Mosque and paramedic Manni leads the team racing to save his life. His legs are peppered with more than 100 shotgun pellets - but the patient isn’t revealing the identity of the man who pulled the trigger.

A bizarre high speed car crash leaves a driver badly injured. Manni is confused by the cause - until police find a stash of drugs in the boot.

It’s bonfire night and police come under attack in the inner city and HART must brave fireworks and bricks to reach an injured cop. Then, the team are scrambled to a house fire in the home of a mum and three children. In Dewsbury, another blaze breaks out in an old folks home.

Paramedic Rochers leads his squad on a long-distance drive to Hull where a man is hurling slates from a three-storey building onto police below. As officers begin plans to move in with Tazers, HART must prepare for casualties on both sides.

In Pontefract a nurse is trapped upside down in her wrecked can and paramedic Andy must climb in to treat her as firefighters struggle to free his patient without worsening her injuries.

There’s a difficult rescue for an elderly woman with dementia who’s fallen in her residential home. HART must carry her down a winding staircase without jarring her back, which she’d broken in a previous accident.

Episode 4

The HART team are called to join the operation to defuse a bomb found in a house in Wakefield as disposal officers from the Army try to make a safe a lethal IED. In woods near Leeds, there’s a tricky rescue after a BMX rider falls and fractures his spine.

There is a manhunt on the banks of a river in Leeds after a man with a knife holds up a store and the team are called to treat the fugitive after he finally surrenders.

Team leader Caz leads a life or death operation to save a van driver who collapsed at the wheel and in Halifax a teenager’s arm is impaled on a gate, sparking a surprisingly complex operation to free him.

In a bizarre coincidence, paramedic Daz finds that the firefighter leading the rescue of an elderly motorist, trapped after a crash, is the patient’s son in law. 

Episode 5

The HART team are called to treat the badly injured victim of a drive-by shooting amid fears the gunman may still be in the area. A major fire sparks fears that thousands of people may be affected by deadly asbestos particles - and the medics must warn the public to stay indoors as firefighters risk their lives to make the building safe.

A teenage girl is pinned by her legs after her hatchback is involved in a collision with another car - and family members can only watch and wait as the team fight to free her from the wreckage.

In Sheffield a drug user plunges 40ft down a ravine and the medics use their climbing gear to haul him to safety. 

The team is called to a suspected acid attack in Bradford and they turn to the UK’s smallest ambulance - the Polaris all terrain vehicle - to reach a woman injured in one of Britain’s biggest parks.

Episode 6

A stolen car chase through the streets of Leeds ends in a horrific crash with five young people trapped in an upturned 4x4. The HART team fight to free the casualties, despite one of them lashing out verbally at his rescuers.

A partially-sighted pensioner impales his arm on ornamental railings and paramedic Alex must release him - with the help of a flying doctor - without causing further nerve damage.

In Bradford, the medics are scrambled to a woman who has been knocked down while crossing the road, causing a life threatening fracture to her thigh. The team is called to back up the fire brigade at the burning home of a hoarder as fears grow that piles of burning possessions could collapse on firefighters.

Former miner Daz is called to use his paramedic skills on a builder who has been crushed by a falling wall during home improvement project. And on the M1 the team witness a vehicle fire that has destroyed a brand new £250,000 Ferrari...thankfully, its driver is in better shape than his supercar.

Episode 7

The team race to save a critically injured woman, trapped in the twisted wreckage of a van that’s been crushed between two lorries on the M18 motorway.

In the Pennine town of Keighley, a riverside barbecue turns into a tricky rescue operation when one of the guests falls into the water – and another follows him with painful consequences.

In Leeds, former Canadian cop Flash is called to a drink driver who has overturned her car. The team ready their breathing apparatus sets after a derelict school catches fire and they are called to back up firefighters braving collapsing floors in the smoke-filled interior.

A teenage girl is stuck at the bottom of a roadside ravine and HART is called to haul her to safety using ropes. There’s a bizarre 999 from the driver of a refrigerated lorry who’s found a party of chilly asylum seekers in the back of his truck.

A disabled man is badly hurt after his adapted people carrier overturns, and a horse rider’s fall on a remote bridleway creates a challenge for her rescuers.

Episode 8

There’s a tense stand-off involving a man with a samurai sword holding hostages at a house in South Yorkshire. The HART team is called to deliver emergency medical aid as armed police prepare to confront him.

In Leeds, the team hit on an imaginative solution in the tricky case of a pensioner with Alzheimer’s Disease who has fallen down an escalator. Can they use the mechanism to slide her onto a spinal stretcher?

A woman in a wheelchair is critically injured after she’s knocked down by a 4 x 4. The skipper of a narrow boat sparks a complicated rescue operation after she suffers painful leg injures on board her vessel.

There’s a callout to a road crash in the rain and the team race to free a driver with a serious head injury. And a teenager is in agony after an accident on the rugby pitch.

Episode 9

A massive explosion demolishes a flat block and the team are called to treat the victims. In East Yorkshire, shots are fired as a man with a gun is involved in a tense stand off with the police and HART are called to stand by as cops try to negotiate a surrender.

There’s a complicated rescue and the team struggle to communicate with a motorist trapped in the back seat of his car after a crash on a busy commuter route into Leeds.

The team are in the danger zone after a suspected bomb is found on a supermarket shelf. A DIY enthusiast plunges through a hole in the floor after a house restoration goes disastrously wrong.

The medics are first on scene after a pub catches fire. HART are called to help in the difficult rescue of the the owner of a mansion that was the birthplace of a notorious serial killer.

Episode 10

The team are called to treat one of their own after a freak accident involving an out-of-control 4x4 leaves an off duty medic with serious injuries.

A couple’s lives are in danger after they are marooned on an island in a swollen river – and the medics must launch a difficult rescue operation to save them.

On the A1 motorway, there’s a multiple pile up and HART must deal with several casualties as police launched a hunt for the motorist whose driving caused the crash.

The team are called to provide the muscle for a weighty patient with a hip injury trapped in their home, and there’s a dash to save the occupant of an overturned car.
