Episode 1

Episode one features a man who’s struggling to breathe after injecting himself, a woman in agonizing pain and a toddler who has had a seizure. In the cab crew members chat about mankinis, overdoses and treating patients in their nineties.

45-year-old Ashley needs urgent help as he's injected a drug used to treat heroin addiction into his artery instead of a vein. Ashley is struggling to breathe and paramedic Matt is worried he may have a life-threatening blood clot and needs urgent treatment.

Meanwhile paramedic Preet Lally and technician Liam Dale are called to 42-year-old Louise who is lying on her kitchen floor unable to move and in excruciating pain. She suffers from a degenerative spinal disorder and the pain is out of control. To make matters worse, on the way to hospital Preet is hurt when a car pulls out in front of the ambulance.

Paramedic Hannah Meredith and technician Aaron Campbell rush to a toddler who has had a seizure. Two-year-old Alfie has a history of fits, but today's was so bad his mum had to call for an ambulance.

Episode 2

A woman is feeling suicidal, a young man has banged his head and an elderly man has tripped over at his own birthday party. In the cab, crew members chat about hypochondriac ambulance staff and uniforms.

Paramedic Hannah Meredith and technician Aaron Campbell rush to help a young woman who's suffering from depression and anxiety and is feeling suicidal. But the crew need to split up when another call comes in for a second patient just streets away who has attempted to take his own life.

Meanwhile, father and son ambulance crew, Keith and Aaron Chawro are called to 5-year-old Tyler who has hurt his head while chasing his brother on the way to school. Tyler is unusually quiet and feels sick, so Keith and Aaron decide to take him to be checked out at A&E.

And paramedic Hannah Simkins and technician Michelle McNulty have to gatecrash 83-year-old George’s birthday celebrations after he tripped and cut his head. It's a nasty wound and it's put a dampener on George’s big night.

Episode 3

This episode features a toddler who has drunk a dangerous liquid, a school pupil who’s in excruciating pain after dislocating his knee and a doting husband who appears to be having a stroke. In the cab, crew members discuss favourite crisps, hand modelling and whether ambulances can be haunted.

Seventeen-month-old Holly Mae has accidentally drunk some liquid air freshener. Worried she could have been poisoned by the fluid, paramedic Preet Lally and student paramedic Leon Asgari need to find out urgently what chemicals are in the air freshener.

Meanwhile paramedic Jamie Cashmore and student paramedic Dan Smith rush to a school where a 15-year-old pupil has dislocated his knee playing football. He's in excruciating pain and Jamie needs to get the knee back in place before they can move him.

Paramedic Joe Wilson and technician Sam Grosvenor are called to 64-year-old Dave, who appears to be having a stroke. Both he and his wife have serious health problems and Dave can't bear to leave his wife at home, but with the clock ticking Joe needs to convince him he needs emergency care. 

Episode 4

Episode four features an unconscious man who has overdosed on heroin, a man who is desperate to be well enough for his daughter’s wedding and a schoolboy who has had a seizure. In the cab crew members discuss some of their worst ever patients, terrible driving and phobias.

Paramedic Hannah Simkins and technician Michelle McNulty rush to a man who is lying unconscious in the street after overdosing on heroin. But they need to call for reinforcements when he doesn’t want the life-saving drug he needs.

Meanwhile paramedic Micheal Onslow and student paramedic Dimitri Holloway help 56-year-old Tony who has a dangerously high heart rate and is vomiting. Tony has underlying health issues, but he’s anxious to be well enough to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding in a week’s time.

And paramedic Preet Lally and student paramedic Leon Asgari are called to 12-year-old Brendan who is having a seizure. The schoolboy had a fit just a few months ago, but he's terrified of needles which makes treating him tricky.

Episode 5

This episode features a woman who’s had a seizure in the shower, a man who is finding it hard to cope with a cancer diagnosis and a young girl who has cut her head but doesn't want to be treated. In the cab crew members discuss delivering babies and taking Viagra for travel sickness.

Paramedic Darren Westwood and technician Craig Alsop rush to 29-year-old Zoe who's had a seizure in the shower. She had another fit three months ago, but doctors don’t know what the cause is. Zoe also has health anxiety.

Meanwhile paramedic Grant Porter and technician Hannah Potter are called to help 70-year-old Colin who's just been diagnosed with cancer and is struggling both physically and mentally to deal with the news. Colin is in severe pain and is not eating, drinking or taking his medication.

And ambulance crew Matt Rodwell and Lee Stevens deal with one of their trickiest patients ever. 4-year-old Mimi has cut her head, but she has special needs and won’t let the crew treat her, so they have to try every trick in the book to get her on side.

Episode 6

A patient has fallen over after an operation to remove his toes, a man has had a nasty accident at work and an elderly man may have had a stroke. In the cab crew members chat about butlers in the buff, horse phobia and which is the worst pain.

Paramedic Michael Onslow and trainee paramedic Dimitri Holloway are called to help a homeless man who's collapsed after an operation to remove his toes. It's a desperate situation for 63-year-old Graham who hasn’t had a home for seven years and lives in the park. He’s got no-one to look after him and the crew want to find him the right help.

Meanwhile 40-year-old Steve has had a nasty accident at work. He's sliced his leg open on some sheet metal and has a deep, bloody gouge. Paramedic Simon Little and technician Michelle McNulty need to stop the bleeding. Steve is very calm, but he is nervous about having stitches.

And paramedic Laura Hickman and student paramedic Nicole McClintock are called to a 93-year-old man whose friend is worried he's had a stroke. Sid and Miriam have a heart-warming friendship and when they’re apart they call each other every morning to check they're both still alive. But today Miriam's worried Sid has taken a turn for the worse.

Episode 7

This episode features a woman who has taken an overdose of paracetamol, a cyclist who is in excruciating pain and an elderly lady who has fallen while feeding the birds. In the cab crew members chat about Bank Holiday weather, the joys of being an undertaker and excessive punishments for minor offences.

Paramedic Joe Wilson and technician Hannah Potter are called to help a woman who’s taken an overdose of paracetamol. An overdose can be fatal so it’s essential to find out exactly how many tablets she has taken and when.

Meanwhile 50-year-old cyclist Peter has such excruciating pain in his leg that he can’t move. It could be the recurrence of nerve pain from a bike accident. It's up to paramedic Tina Spittle and technician Donna Parcell to find a way to get Peter to hospital without causing him even more agony.

And Hannah Simkins and Michelle McNulty help 84-year-old Pat who has fallen on her front doorstep while trying to feed the birds. She is a very spirited pensioner, but she recently broke her hip and daughter Sue is worried that Pat’s latest bid for independence could end in disaster.

Episode 8

Episode eight features a suicidal and violent patient, a student with a life-threatening condition and a school pupil who has had multiple seizures. In the cab crew members chat about soggy sandwiches, coping with drunk patients and long marriages.

Paramedic Hannah Simkins and technician Michelle McNulty join the police to deal with an aggressive and suicidal patient. The man has been drinking heavily, self-harming, bashing his head against a wall and saying he needs help and wants to die. But he is violent and abusive, making his treatment a challenge - the police have to restrain him for their own and his safety.

Meanwhile paramedic Laura Hickman and technician Beth Piddock are sent to help student Jamie, who has severe vomiting. Jamie has diabetes and his blood sugars are sky high - the crew are worried that his symptoms could be a sign of a life-threatening condition.

And paramedics Matt Rodwell and Preet Lally are called to a school where a pupil has had two seizures.13-year-old Shanelle has been having regular fits for the last 18 months, but worryingly it’s taking Shanelle longer than usual to recover and nobody knows what's causing the seizures.

Episode 9

A woman has collapsed and may be having a stroke, a patient has agonizing stomach pain caused by a life-threatening condition and a man has had a seizure at a bus station. In the cab crew members chat about tea, old school kids TV and the challenges of needing to go to the toilet while working.

78-year-old Joan has collapsed and her neighbours have called 999, concerned she may be having a stroke. Joan has a close relationship with her neighbours, but she’s worried about being a burden to them. It's up to paramedic Hannah Simkins and technician Michelle McNulty to reassure her and make sure she gets the treatment she needs.

Meanwhile paramedic Simon Allen and student paramedic Sam Grosvenor rush to help a man who has uncontrollable stomach pain caused by a potentially life-threatening cyst. 44-year-old Tony suffers from pancreatitis and is waiting for an operation, but today he's in agony.

And paramedic Gaz Clarke and technician Liam Dale are called to a bus station where a man is having a seizure. 25-year-old Lloyd is well known to the crew as he has fits so regularly, but although these episodes happen often, Gaz and Liam can't take any chances and they want to make sure Lloyd looks after himself.

Episode 10

This episode features a taxi driver who has had a head-on crash with a car that was being pursued by the police, a man who is bleeding heavily after cutting his leg and a woman who has fallen while walking her dog. In the cab, crew members chat about the future of satnavs, what Queen Victoria made of the West Midlands and microwaved burgers.

Paramedics Laura Hickman and Lee Farley rush to a high-speed collision. Police were pursuing a car that slammed head on into a taxi, wrecking it. The taxi driver was saved by his seatbelt and airbag. He is able to walk, but after examining him, Lee is worried that he could have injured his spine, so they can’t take any chances.

Meanwhile 60-year-old Geoff has cut his leg in his garden and is bleeding profusely. He suffers from varicose veins and his blood struggles to clot which makes the injury more serious. Ambulance crew Hannah Simkins and Michelle McNulty follow the trail of blood to treat Geoff.

And paramedic Michael Onslow and student paramedic Dmitri Holloway are called to 74-year-old Barbara who has fallen while out walking her greyhound. It looks like she has broken her arm, but as Barbara has lost feeling in her hand the crew worry she could have fractured it in more than one place.
