Episode 1
John Heussi finds himself in need of a new riot van, and stress testing the old one helps him design a new one. It’s just as well because just minutes into its first shift the van is attacked by firework wielding teenagers. Throw into the mix a trashed beat car, a forensic accident investigator and a damaged crime car and you have entered the world of Cop Car Workshop.
Episode 2
John Heussi sets to work redesigning a new vehicle to transport Cheshire Police’s dog units, turning a humble Ford Mondeo into a Dog Van. Meanwhile, the force’s motorcycle fleet are escorting a painfully slow abnormal load across the county. And to everyone’s pleasure, cake arrives at the Cop Car Workshop.
Episode 3
When John Heussi wants a new car, one is never enough. He puts in an order for 62 new beat cars with a few redesigned features to make them better than ever. Meanwhile, an old one turns up in the middle of a forest in the Czech Republic. But why is it there and how did it get there? And with the Mersey Gateway opening, Tracy has her work cut out.
Episode 4
It’s holiday time for John Heussi and he leaves Dave in charge of 57 builds currently in progress including the repair of the dive team’s truck and a crime car damaged during a high speed chase. Dave also has a BMW X5 armed response vehicle build to oversee and ensure is completed by the time John gets back, but an unscheduled visit from the local MP threatens to slow the team down.
Episode 5
It’s TPAC time for John Heussi as he dons a balaclava, hops in a getaway car and experiences what it’s like to be pursued and contained by the police in a manoeuvre that has recently damaged two BMW 300 crime cars. Dave is sent to sort out replacements and get them back in action asap. And emergency repairs are required to get two police scrambler bikes back out on the road. Or field.
Episode 6
Inspector Dave Corcoran calls on his best mate, John Heussi, to turn what looks like a tug boat into a police vessel. At the Vehicle Maintenance Unit, the team have to fix up a beat car whose tyres were slashed whilst on duty, and there’s an ongoing investigation into Darren’s facial hair!
Episode 7
The rural crime unit of Cheshire Police have requested two 4x4 vehicles to help them scale the steep tracks of the Peak District in order to stamp out farm machinery theft, poaching and environmental damage. John Heussi concocts a plot to meet the demand, but leaves him with a headache when it doesn’t go to plan.
Episode 8
After 105,000 miles on the clock it’s game over for a marked Interceptor. Having one of these mean machines off the road is a major headache for the Road Policing Unit. Working hard and fast, John Heussi and his team need to be quick off the mark to replace the powerhouse.
Episode 9
The crime scene vehicle plays an essential role in transporting vital evidence and delivering it intact to forensics HQ for processing. But the cramped old vans are making a tough job even tougher. John Heussi embarks on a complete redesign of Cheshire Constabulary’s fleet of outdated forensic vans.
Episode 10
Cheshire Police Sergeant Rob Simpson and PC Rick Walker are responsible for investigating Cheshire’s rural crime. They currently cruise up and down dales and through rivers in an ageing 4x4 vehicle. But with their vehicle coming to the end of its life John’s feeling the pressure to get them a new one.
