EPISODE 1
A lone police officer is violently set upon when he gets called out to two strangers sitting in a woman’s parked car on her drive. The vicious fight is captured on the Nottinghamshire PC’s body camera as he struggles to contain his attacker. It eventually takes four officers to restrain the aggressive man.
Across the city the emergency services have to move swiftly after they find a house doused in petrol and a man threatening to set it alight. With the risk of an imminent fireball, the bodycam cops bravely search for the would-be arsonist before it’s too later. Later, bodycam cops Keith and Matt go on a blue-light run to a report of a burglary that turns out to be a false alarm. However, it’s not a wasted journey as Keith’s renowned sixth sense uncovers two stolen motor bikes.
EPISODE 2
In this episode, the Bodycam Squad come face to face with a crazed axeman who’s smashed a hole in his terrified neighbour’s door. One officer is injured as they try to restrain him and the cops have to resort to using CS gas to catch him after he does a runner. A search of his home uncovers a collection of deadly weapons as well as a bag of white crystals that are thought to be some kind of illegal drug.
A politics student is arrested after assaulting two members of staff in a pub where he worked. He’s so inebriated though, he can’t remember any of it and is outraged that the police are taking him to custody when all he wants is another pint in the pub! And a joker who throws an insult at a red-haired cop, gets off lightly as he wins the officer over with his cheeky charm and his knowledge of the law.
EPISODE 3
Firearms officers and a dog unit race to an address in Nottingham where a man is reported to be blockading his family in a house and allegedly making threats to kill them with a chainsaw. A full scale manhunt ensues when the man makes off and is on the loose on the streets of Nottingham. Meanwhile, bodycam cops, in pursuit of a car that fails to stop, suspect the female driver of drink-driving. They finally catch up with her when she crashes her car - but an officer is forced to draw his taser stun gun when she doesn’t comply! And cops flood the Bilborough estate on the hunt for suspected career criminals after they abandon a stolen car and make off on foot.
EPISODE 4
In this episode, it’s all hands on deck when the bodycam squad face a barrage of abuse from the occupants of a house after attempting to arrest a suspect who’s allegedly attacked a pizza delivery driver. Keith is in hot pursuit of a runaway driver in Broxtowe after the suspect’s odd behaviour rouses the bodycam cop’s suspicions. Response officer Nadiene is shocked to find a young woman sleeping in the garden of an abandoned house on one of the coldest nights of the year and trouble breaks out when an aggressive man can’t provide bodycam cop Dan with the correct documents to prove his vehicle is legal.
EPISODE 5
In this episode, the Bodycam Squad, respond to a burglary and then stumble on a cannabis growing factory inside a very ordinary looking house. Unusually, most of the plants, worth thousands of pounds, have been stolen leaving the team of cops to work out who’s behind the set up as well as who’s gone off with the goods. An angry, violent man is arrested in his own home after head-butting his partner causing a bad injury to her eye. But, he doesn’t take kindly to the cops trying to take him into custody and ends up turning his aggression on them. And, a cruel and heartless thief steals a disabled man’s mobility scooter when he leaves it parked outside his local pub.
EPISODE 6
In this episode, The Bodycam Squad race to a disturbance at a house where a group of vigilantes have taken the law into their own hands by confronting and detaining a man they believe to be a paedophile. Bodycam cops Tiff Hutchinson and her Taser armed partner, Dale Notley, are involved in a high-stakes search for a suspect thought to be armed with a meat cleaver following a shocking assault on an innocent man. A call from a neighbour about a suspected break-in at a suburban house leads the bodycam cops to make an extraordinary discovery of a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis factory. And, in St Ann’s, Nigel Bradley and his team assist the council in evicting a nuisance tenant after two years of repeated warnings about her anti-social behaviour.
EPISODE 7
Bodycam Cops are flagged down on an inner city estate to help a boy who’s been stabbed in the mouth. But news quickly comes in of another serious stabbing a few streets away. The succession of knifings leaves the police facing a potential double murder investigation. Neighbourhood Beat Manager Karl Brown heads up an operation to raid the house of a suspected drug dealer on his patch. A swift entry with the door enforcer leads to the discovery of suspected drugs and weapons and two suspects carted off to custody. And, when Keith spots a youth behaving suspiciously on the street, he follows his gut instinct and spins his cop car round before stopping and searching him. Sure enough, his suspicions are confirmed when he finds a lethal looking four inch lock-knife that the teenager had just discarded.
EPISODE 8
In the final episode of the series, tutor Keith and trainee Bodycam Cop Josh, chase after a car that’s refused to stop. Hurtling through an estate, the driver loses control and crashes into a bollard before tearing off on foot. It’s down to Josh to put all his training into practice and catch him. The Bodycam Squad are called to help a heavily pregnant woman who is believed to be addicted to crack cocaine. A midwife and social worker cannot get inside her house and unless the cops can get to her, there are real fears for her safety and that of her unborn child. A chef loses his temper after the window of his take-away shop is smashed. He takes the law into his own hands, when he runs out with a kitchen knife still in his hand. And the nightshift go on a manhunt in the snow to try and capture the area’s most wanted shoplifter.
