EPISODE 1

Paramedics Kit and Lee are called to a farm near Scarborough where a vet has been paralysed after an attack by a rogue bull. On a country road in East Yorkshire, the crew of Helimed 98 launch a difficult rescue mission to free the elderly driver of a car that has left the road and rolled into a ditch. The driver’s arm is trapped and Dr Chris fears he may lose it.

Pilot Ian finds himself landing on the 18th green of a golf course after a player develops agonising chest pains. Paramedic Lisa diagnoses a heart attack and the team race to get him to cardiac specialists in time to remove a clot that is threatening his life. A young motocross rider comes off his bike and shows signs of a brain injury.  The team are so concerned they abandon the chopper to travel by road to hospital with their patient so they can monitor his condition more closely.

Flying doctor Sarah is called to woods near Sheffield where a cyclist is badly hurt after attempting a daring jump. In North Yorkshire, medic Sammy is called to a tricky case involving a teenager with a major facial wounds. The team struggle to stop the wound bleeding – and she is rushed to Leeds General Infirmary for plastic surgery. Meanwhile, in the Dales, Kit and Matt find themselves treating one of their own – a retired paramedic taken ill at his cottage home in the picturesque village of Askrigg.

EPSIODE 2

A new homeowner trying to help removal men plunges from a balcony in a freak accident and flying doctor Brian is forced to perform an agonizing procedure to restore blood-flow to his hands.Both choppers are called in to save the life of a cyclist with a brain injury following an accident made worse by his decision not to wear a helmet.

In the Yorkshire Dales, a father and daughter are catapulted from their motorbike after a dramatic crash captured on his head camera. Fog grounds the chopper but paramedics Pete and Simon hit the road in a response car to reach the victims of a head on crash involving two 4x4s close to the airbase.

Meanwhile in West Yorkshire flying doctor Jez touches down in a supermarket car park to rescue a man who fell after trying to climb onto a roof after drinking five pints of lager. His next case involves a horse rider thrown from her mount when it was spooked by a dog.

EPSIODE 3

Flying doctor Chris carries out a complex medical procedure at the roadside when the chopper is called to a biker who has stopped breathing after a serious crash in the Three Peaks. An off-duty nurse proves to be an accident-prone camper when Helimed 99 is called out twice – once to treat her burns following a camping stove explosion and again to investigate her son’s dangerous reaction to a wasp sting.

It’s high summer and the crew are sweating it out at the scene of a car crash which has left a female passenger with a serious arm injury. Dr Brian is called to a remote farm near Hull after a farmer’s hand is impaled by a steel spike in his pigsty. Meanwhile, a dirtbike rider is badly hurt in an accident at an enduro event and an elderly DIY enthusiast lands himself in hospital after falling while trying to mend his conservatory roof.

EPSIODE 4

Flying doctor Sarah fights to save the life of a pensioner knocked down near her home by anaesthetizing her patient in the middle of a suburban street. In the Yorkshire Dales, a female farmer is knocked down and badly hurt by her own cattle and paramedic Pete must reassure her worried family. On the A1, an off-duty GP leads an heroic effort to rescue an unconscious lorry driver trapped in his blazing truck.

CCTV cameras capture a freak accident involving a biker thrown off in front of a heavy lorry and new pilot Geoff pulls off a tricky landing it get the medics to their patient. Lisa and Al are scrambled to reports that a light aircraft has crashed near Whitby and flying doctor Chris dashes to the Derbyshire Peak District to save a biker who has collapsed with a suspected brain hemorrhage. In the Cleveland Hills an off-duty Coastguard saves his wife’s foot by resetting her dislocated ankle without anesthetic.

EPISODE 5

The team race to rescue a biker thrown 30 metres into a road-sign after he slips into a diabetic coma in the saddle. Paramedics Tony and Matt launch a life or death battle to save a grocer who collapsed and stopped breathing while loading his van.  Local paramedics resuscitated him but his condition is deteriorating as they set off for hospital.

In the harbour at Whitby, a boy’s daring jump into the water ends in a serious injury and a tricky rescue as fog envelopes the town and pilot Chris must improvise to find a landing site. In South Yorkshire, a motorbike race ends in a spectacular crash and a serious injury for one of the riders, with Helimed 99 swooping to the rescue.

A seaside holiday ends on a head injury for one tourist and a dramatic landing on the beach for pilot Harry. Flying doctor Chris is called to a road accident on the edge of the rolling Yorkshire Dales. He finds a confused young driver who is feared to have a head injury. In the Dales, a young asthma living in a remote farmhouse patient needs a housecall and paramedic James races to the rescue.

EPSIODE 6

Both choppers are called to a head-on road smash in the  Yorkshire Dales that’s left two pensioners trapped in their wrecked car. Ex Royal Marine pilot Harry swoops on a street in Castleford to drop his medics next to an unconscious cyclist feared to have a brain injury.

Paramedics Sammy and Ady find themselves dealing with a difficult patient who insists he wants to climb back on his badly damaged motorbike thanks to bizarre effects of a head injury sustained in the accident. Flying doctor Jez is confronted by a baffling whodunnit after a man is accidentally shot at a firing range.

A jockey thrown by his galloping horse amazes the team with his toughness as he undergoes treatment on a broken bone without even flinching.  Meanwhile, a crash outside one of Yorkshire’s most famous stately homes leaves a man with a chronic medical condition trapped in his upturned car. On the moors, paramedics Pete and Lee rescue an off road biker injured when his motorcycle toppled off a rock.

EPSIODE 7

The crew of Helimed 98 call in flying doctor Sarah to perform a complex medical procedure in a country lane after a cyclist is left fighting for her life following an accident on the North York Moors. Paramedic Tyrone races a heart attack victim to hospital after he is shocked back to life with a defibrillator following a cardiac arrest.

A major mountain biking event ends in a serious crash - and the victim has good reason to be thankful for her brand new crash helmet.  Near the market town of Selby, flying doctor Chris is called in to give pain-killing drugs to a woman who has come off her horse and a pillion passenger is catapulted off the back of her partner’s bike after a collision with a car.

Dr Jez flies out to the Yorkshire Dales to treat an artist injured when she tripped and fell down the stairs of her stone-built studio. Meanwhile, Chris has to corral a herd of cattle as he struggles to find somewhere to land on a clifftop 300ft above the sea after a walker dislocates her ankle on a remote Coastal path.

EPSIODE 8

A quad bike crashes with a car and three people are badly hurt.  Paramedics Al and Tony must decide which victims are most in need of a lifesaving flight to hospital. Medics fight to save a violinist’s musical career after his arm is badly injured in a rollover car crash and a busy holiday route in North Yorkshire.

The team launch three separate mercy missions for a schoolgirl with a rare life-threatening allergy that is baffling doctors in five hospitals on both sides of the Atlantic. In woods near the coast a freak accident involving a 4x4 leaves a woman with a suspected fractured skull while a charity cyclist hits a roadside crash barrier with painful results. Paramedic James is called to rescue an elderly woman whose sudden collapse is puzzling a local GP.

 EPSIODE 9

An off-duty paramedic finds herself battling to save the life of a fellow athlete after he collapses with a massive heart attack in the middle of a 10k run and the chopper is called in to race him to hospital. A cyclist misses a give way sign and collides with a van, fracturing his skull and threatening his eyesight.

In Doncaster, the team fly to the rescue of a binman crushed by a passing bus nd flying doctor Brian fights to save a patient’s foot after it was badly crushed when his bike collided with a car. An elderly couple are injured in a crash with a heavy lorry and a teenager laughs off a broken leg that threatens to ruin his 18th birthday celebrations, much to the surprise of paramedic Sam. Meanwhile, an outing to a crag near Harrogate leaves a man with a painful injury after he falls 6ft down a rockface.

EPSIODE 10

The team struggle to find a landing site after a major pile-up on an urban motorway in Sheffield leaves a woman dead and several other people seriously injured. A pair of husband and wife bikers are badly hurt after a freak accident on the motorway and flying doctor Jez is called to treat a woman stabbed in the eye with a knife in a freak accident.

The team recruit a volunteer group of stretcher bearers after a girl falls and breaks an arm in an accident in woods in South Yorkshire.  A top motocross  rider is badly hurt in a crash at an event he’s driven 200 miles to compete in. In North Yorkshire, Sammy and Ady are called to treat a driver injured in a crash at the top of one of the county’s biggest hills.  A biker is hurt near Harrogate and ex-soldier Andy sets out to search for a patient reported hurt and hypothermic near a remote waterfall on the moors.

EPSIODE 11

The team fight to save a biker in cardiac arrest after a high speed crash in the Yorkshire Dales and a walker plunges 90ft down a ravine after he slips during a hike. A cycling mum’s lost memory surprises her son after she takes a tumble on a remote lane on the edge of the North York Moors and  bangs her head.

New pilot Rob arrives direct from London to face the challenges of flying in the Pennine countryside where they set Last of the Summer Wine and Chris must get his medics to a remote moorland footpath half way up a steep fell. A former motorcycle racer turns out to be a regular passenger in ambulances and an angler is struck down by a sudden medical emergency.

EPSIODE 12

A woman is critically injured when a tractor overturns and rolls down a steep hill but flying doctor Tim and paramedic Anthony have a battle on their hands to reach her. A van driver is blinded by the sun and drives into a truck at 50mph and pilot Harry must persuade the military to put an exercise on hold so he can reach a construction worker who has plunged through the roof he was building.

A teenage motorist is hurled from her cartwheeling car but she’s so cold paramedics Lisa and James can’t find a vein to give her pain relief. Daz dashes to the aid of a retired GP whose bike ride in the Peak District ended in sudden cardiac arrest and a boy’s ride on a rope swing ends in a life-threatening tumble down a woodland ravine. Meanwhile, in the Dales a rare bird lands an elderly ornithologist in an ambulance and flying doctor Steve is dispatched to a school sports day where the tug of war has left a young athlete with symptoms of paralysis.

EPSIODE 13

There’s a head on crash on a moorland road and paramedic Paul must fight to keep a critically injured teenage victim alive in mid-air. On the Yorkshire coast the team race to save a five year old girl who’s been taken seriously  ill with a killer strain of flu. A biker is left with a badly broken leg after a dramatic accident captured on film by a following motorist.

A school cycling trip ends in a serious accident when a teenager is catapulted over the handlebars of his bike, landing him in the care of paramedics Pete and Sammy. Pilot Chris must battle the weather to reach a patient with a lethal medical condition after a country GP calls for an ambulance. A 23 stone farmer slips on a riverbank, ripping a tendon in his leg and the team face a big challenge to get him to hospital.  Meanwhile, a biker falls victim to a hit and run accident when a van hits him and fails to stop.

EPISODE 14

Two motorists are trapped in their wrecked cars after a head on crash on ice and the team face a difficult dilemma - which most needs a flight to hospital? 999 controllers coach a model aircraft enthusiast in how to perform CPR after a fellow flier collapses with a massive heart attack.

On a remote farm, a travelling sheep shearer his cut down by a stroke and the chopper team race to save him from lifelong disability. A teenage climber plunges from a rock face in the Peak District and flying doctor Jez diagnoses serious chest and head injuries but fading light threatens his rescue.

A female biker is trapped under a car and the team launch a desperate operation to save her. Helimed 99 carries out a housecall to treat an elderly man with a potentially lethal allergic reaction to a wasp sting. A DIY enthusiast plunges from a tree he’s trying to prune with painful results.

EPSIODE 15

The team get back up from a squad of Army combat medics  as they fight to save the mystery victim of a freak road accident. He was driving one of the cars but why is he lying in a roadside ditch? In the Dales a vet rides to get help after a horse inflicts a very serious injury on his leg. Snow falls in Yorkshire and the team scramble to a remote moorland farm to rescue a woman with a suspected stroke marooned by blocked roads.

High winds blow a biker off the road and a school hiking expedition ends in an emergency when a teenager collapses at the top of one of the highest peaks in the Pennines. Paramedics Lisa and Tony launch a desperate airborne search for a missing dementia patient feared lost in a river and the victim of an immune disorder is badly hurt in a freak accident involving her horse.
