In the first episode, Helle and Uri travel to the remote parts of Canada, where their goal is to capture the rare costal wolves and white spirit bears (Kermodo Bears) for their Project Wild. They start by visiting a group of First Nation Indians in Bella Coola BC, that descend from the indigenous tribes in Canada. The Indians explain how they experience climate change, and that they se fewer and fewer spicies in the area. The two photographers enter the sail ship Seawoulf, where they search the coast of Bella Coola for coastal wolves. Later they continue their expedition in Hartley bay, there they are allowed to look for the very rare spirit bears in Great bear rainforest. There are only around 400 spirit bears living wild in the world, and it has been Helle and Uris dream to photograph them for their Project Wild.

In the second episode, Helle and Uri continue their expedition in Pantanal in Brazil, where they hope to capture the last wild jaguars. Pantanal is a gigantic wet area whit a unique wildlife, particularly know to be the last kingdom of the jaguar. Today the black cat is endangered, and there are only around 15.000 of them left all over the world – because their territory disappear together with the deforestation of the rain forest.

It turns out to be very difficult to find the jaguar, but instead their expedition start with a surprise as they meet the jaguars “little sister”, the ocelot, another animal they have been wanting to photograph for their project.

The last expedition goes to the West African country Gabon, also called Paradise of Africa. Their goal is to capture the endangered low land gorillas and wood elephants for their Project Wild, and they follow a group of local researchers. The country is also called “The land of the surfing Hippos” because the photographers Mike Fay and Michael Nichols succeeded in 2000 to get pictures of hippos bathing – a behavior we weren´t aware of before. The image became known all around the world, and contributed to that the area is protected today. This shows that an image can make a difference, and it was a really pleasant surprise that the two run into Mike Fay on the expedition.
