Inbetweeners ends on a high

MONDAY: The third series of E4 comedy The Inbetweeners drew to a close with record audience figures.
The Bwark-produced sitcom has consistently broken previous records throughout its latest six-part run, not just for its own performance but also for E4, ranking as the highest-rated show in the history of the Channel 4-owned digital channel.
The final episode was no exception, drawing 2.62m (12.9%) from 10pm to 10.35pm and a further 342,600 (3.3%) an hour-later on time-shifted E4+1, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.
The total of 2.96m (14.56%) overtook the 2.74m (13.24%) that tuned in to the penultimate instalment on 11 October.
Across the series, which started on 13 September, it secured an average overnight audience of 2.45m (11.91%).
Prior to its launch, the slot average for the year to date had been 347,500 (1.7%).
It managed to beat all other multichannel competition in the slot and also surpassed audience figures for BBC2, Channel 4 and Channel 5, which all hovered around the million mark at the time.

Another high for Inbetweeners

MONDAY: E4 comedy The Inbetweeners has broken its own record for the highest-rated show in the history of the digital channel.
The penultimate episode in the latest six-part series drew 2.43m (11.7%) to E4 from 10pm and a further 308,900 (2.91%) on time-shifted E4+1, according to official Barb figures supplied by Attentional.
The total of 2.74m (13.24%) tops the previous overnight record of 2.6m (13.17%), recorded for the third episode of the Bwark-produced sitcom on 27 September.
It trounced all other multichannel competition at the time and also beat BBC2, Channel 4 and Channel 5, which all failed to top the million mark.

Inbetweeners breaks E4 records... again

MONDAY: Teen comedy The Inbetweeners has broken its own ratings record, securing the highest viewing figures in E4’s history.
The third episode of the half-hour sitcom drew 2.28m (11.5%) at 10pm and a further 322,500 (3.15%) on time-shifted channel E4+1 – a total of 2.6m (13.17%), according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.
This tops its debut performance of 2.57m (12.48%) two weeks ago.
The Bwark-produced comedy ruled the 10pm slot in multichannel and also managed to beat BBC2, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
