Synopsis
The hope of a new life

Set in the 1950s, The Final Passage is the story of an attractive, headstrong couple, Michael and Leila. They choose to leave their seductively beautiful Caribbean home, where they can only eke out a hand-to-mouth living, and travel to London in the hope of a new life.

Their only chance seems to lie in the British government’s policy of inviting West Indian labour to Britain. Joining the flood of Caribbean emigrants on a tide of hope and expectation, they arrive in a country which, only a dozen years after the Second World War, is undergoing a change as radical as that in Michael and Leila’s own lives.
