Great White Shark Hunt
Synopsis
After being hunted close to extinction the Great White Shark is now a protected species in South Africa. However, thousands of other sharks are still being killed. Many sharks are hunted for their fins alone, to satisfy an enormous demand for shark fin soup in the Far East. This film exposes the cruelty of live finning. The shark’s fins are cut off and then their maimed bodies are dumped back into the sea to die a slow death. Sharks have existed for 350 million years, and nobody knows how marine ecology would work without them; however, we may soon learn if their mass destruction does not stop.
