Miracles In The Womb
Synopsis
This feature-length documentary explores the incredible foetal world of twins, triplets and quads
The film reveals that although multiple gestation is fraught with complications and dangers, it's also where some humans first interact with their siblings before entering the world outside the uterus. It follows the development of fraternal twins, identical twins and charts the struggle for survival of higher sets: triplets and a very rare set of identical quads (a 1 in 65 million chance). Using revolutionary 4D scans, the film reveals unique footage of multiple foetuses interacting with each other before birth and captures, perhaps for the first time ever on television, a phenonomen called Vanishing Twin Syndrome.
