Snappers
Synopsis
Following the lives of the paparazzi
“Everyone hates you, they think you’re intrusive, nasty, it’s a thankless job.” The paparazzi are fully aware of the emotions they trigger in their unwitting subjects and the public at large. But as this Short Stories film discovers, the thrill of the chase and the financial rewards for an exclusive shot far outweigh the negative aspects of the profession. It’s job where the rules are determined only by a desire for success.
Snappers follows two of London’s top paparazzi as they chase the stars, including Madonna, Clint Eastwood, Diana Ross and the Princess of Wales. Made before the death of Diana, the film now has a poignancy that was never intended when originally broadcast.
