Synopsis
It’s August 1939, and five young cousins gather on the camomile lawn of their aunt’s Cornish home. Imminent war and the sultry heat of summer bring a heady sense of freedom.

Forty years on, the cousins gather again, this time at the funeral of their aunt’s lover Max, the man who changed their lives. The Camomile Lawn tells the stories of how the cousins’ paths cross and recross during a war that brings them suffering, sex, love – and Max.

Distinguished theatre director Sir Peter Hall directs this adaptation of Mary Wesley’s wartime novel. Established actors Felicity Kendal, Virginia McKenna and Paul Eddington are joined by a talented young cast in this exciting drama from the makers of Channel 4’s The Manageress.
