Synopsis
Kate Spicer is 38, single and deeply insecure about the way she looks. As a lifestyle journalist, she's all too aware of the ideals of beauty and her own shortcomings in the looks department.
And as she approaches 40, everything is starting to go south. Now, with time running out, she's decided to take action. This film follows Kate's brutal journey to make herself as beautiful as she can be. To reach her goal, she'll immerse herself in a range of gruelling procedures that women undergo in the quest to look beautiful. Along the way, she'll explore how unscrupulous the beauty industry has become - road testing some of the most bizarre, morally dubious and dangerous treatments the beauty industry has to offer. And she'll also confront her own long-term emotional issues. Wracked by anxiety, can she finally come to terms with the way she looks?
