Synopsis
Bloody Bosnia

The Unforgiving paints a painful picture of the dehumanisation of all sides in war-torn Bosnia. As the only journalist offered full access to the suspicious Serbian militia after the brutal battle for Srebenica, director Clive Gordon follows Serbian mother Desa as she searches for her murdered son's body.
As they travel across a world shot through with devastation and despair, we hear eye-witness reports of sickening cruelty from Muslims, Serbs and Croatians alike: stories of systematic rape, competitions to kick enemies to death, prisoners forced to orally castrate their fellow countrymen. At a time when the media's accusations of atrocities were levelled squarely at the Serbs, this brave and balanced film clarified the situation. In this war, no one ‘race’ has been any less ethical than the others.
