Archaeology can reveal how we used to live in amazing detail. Time Team is Channel 4's ever popular television series which explains the process of archaeology to the general public. Digs are suggested by a member of the viewing public who knows of an unsolved archaeological mystery. The team then uncovers as much as they can about the archaeology and history of the site in three days. Excavating anything from Palaeolithic times to the recent past, it's a format that allows extraordinary access to the process of archaeology “as it happens”.
