Synopsis
A hilarious look at the deadly sin of anger (wrath) as shown by Seamus Webb, singer in fictional up-and-coming pop group, Spunk. Webb, played by comedian Paul Kaye, is a very angry man. “He’s like me, he’s really angry,” says one fan. “I have to shag him!” Filmed at a time when Britain’s youth thrilled to a spate of seething young Britpop bands, this fictional fly-on-the-food-splattered-wall documentary shows the ridiculous nature of teenage angst. With comments from real-life music journalists and top musicians, we watch the disintegration of Spunk as Webb’s ego and anger mix with explosively comic results. Made for the Seven Sins season, Annie Griffin’s film is a Spinal Tap approach to wrath in the music business.
