Synopsis
A journey to redefine who they are as a family and learn the consequences of being Retired at 35

After 37 years of marriage, Alan and Elaine Robbins thought they were going to do what a lot of people their age do: cruise into retirement and live out their days happily ever after. Not so fast. When their uptight, overworked son David comes for a visit and decides to quit the New York City rat race and move into their active adult community in Florida, Elaine, his mother, has an epiphany of her own. She wants to leave her husband and begin a new life as an artist, leaving David as his free-wheeling Dad’s roommate.

To David’s surprise, both Mom and Dad seem very comfortable with their new arrangement. But he quickly learns that his parents’ youthful enthusiasm to live a life they thought they missed out on is completely bewildering. Alan and Elaine insist on parenting their son with their own divergent world-views, constantly putting David in the middle as they try to figure out the over-sixty dating world and vie for his love and affection. David has problems of his own as his parents meddle in everything from his dating life to the kind of sheets he sleeps on and he begins to wonder how a life of leisure and relaxation that he so desperately wanted could possibly be this complicated.
