Across a primetime series, 18 challenger teams and nine master teams will battle it out for cash prizes and the right to call themselves The Best Quizzers in the Nation. But it doesn’t stop there. The members of the winning team will also have to battle each other for the ultimate title: The Best All-Round Quizzer in the Nation.
Series 2 of Challenge The Masters moved to a Friday slot and performed incredibly well for NRK, beating TV2’s Pop Idol with good margin
SEASON 2:
- Moved from Saturday to Friday early primetime (8:05pm), works very well
- Season 1 was quite weak, but season 2 moves to a 44% average share and beats Pop Idol on TV2 (39% share)
- Goes from 597000 to 800000 viewers on an average
- Season 1 was well below slot average
- Season 2 is way above slot average (average: 582000 viewers/39% share, Challenge the masters: 800000 viewers/44% share)
- New element - Challenge The Masters has gone bigger and better in a search to find the best quiz team in individual towns/ cities! These teams then compete against other towns to find the greatest quiz city!
- Challenge the Masters has been commissioned for a third series after beating its ratings rival Pop Idol for a second time
