On July 30, 2011, the five-time winner of the World’s Best Restaurant award, elBulli closed its doors to become the elBulli Foundation. Chef Ferran Adrià served a special and spectacular last dinner, accompanied by the best chefs in the world, all of whom had worked at elBulli at some point in their career: René Redzepi (Noma), Andoni Luis Aduriz (Mugaritz), Grand Achat (Alinea), Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana) and José Andrés (Think Food Group). Together, they became the best team ever seen in a kitchen. They prepared the last menu and served the last dish, “pêche Melba” in a tribute to the father of the modern cuisine, Auguste Escoffier. elBulli: The Last Waltz is an exclusive documentary that takes us on a journey through the last day of elBulli and provides an intimate interview with the restaurant’s main protagonist Ferran Adrià.
