Don’t Tell The Bride sees a couple, who are madly in love and can’t afford to marry, given 10k euros for the wedding of their dreams.
But there’s a catch, a very big catch.
They must get married within three weeks and the groom has to arrange everything, from the dress to the venue. He and his bride are contractually bound to have no contact until the big day.
The couples hand over their mobile phones and sign a contract, before separating for the three weeks before the wedding. The best man and groomsmen can help the groom with all the arrangements, but at the end of the day it’s his bride he is aiming to please.
Episode 1 – Patrick Dunne and Cleo McCusker
The third series of Don’t Tell the Bride starts with Rugby crazy Pat Dunne from Tullamore & opinionated Cleo McCusker from Rhode Co. Offaly. Cleo has very high standards on how she wants her wedding day to be – she is leaving it all up to the most laid back man in the country! Cleo wants her reception to be all modern and sparkly! While Patrick really wants his big day to be held in the most important place in the world to him – his Rugby Club! Pat & his mates have loads of ideas but the budget is a big problem. Will he be able to deliver his bride to be high expectations? Will he deliver the shiny, sparkly day she demands?

Episode 2 - Orla Bishop & Paul Illien
Orla Bishop & Paul Illien from Galway have been together for just over 18 months. They have a beautiful daughter together call Hayley. Orla really wants to get married so that they are a proper unit. Paul is so laid back he will fall back!
Orla does have aspirations for her big day – she doesn’t want the traditional wedding... But Paul decides to takes it to another extreme – he visits a number of potential venues – one was a former sheep shed & the other is a building site!! The first job on Pauls list is to buy his wife to be a pair of shoes for her wedding day – his preference is a pair of boots... a pair of wellington boots. His preferred ceremony location is on the side of a hill! Paul does have a couple of unique surprises in store for Orla – but will all the secrets manage to be kept quiet? Orla has particular requirements for her dress – Paul just really doesn’t understand the philosphy of purchasing a bridal dress at all – anything will do as long as it is cheap!! Sure she is only wearing it for a few hours... this is according to Paul.
Will Orla love her dress? Will Paul deliver the day of her dreams?
Episode 3 – Ciara Neasy and Steven McGuill
Ciara Neasy (22yrs) & Steven McGuill (28yrs) from Dundalk have been together for over 4 years. Steven decided to take on the mammoth task of organizing their big day as Ciara is the PA in their relationship!
Ciara wanted a princess wedding – involving castles and a beautiful idillyic country church that her mum, aunt & her granny got married in…. Stevens first stop was to look at Oriel Park the home of Dundalk FC for the civil ceremony! Eoinsy & Fra – Stevens righthand men tried to convince him not to entertain such an idea but Steven was determined to have second love of his life in the wedding – football.
Steven and his merry men visited a local hotel in Dundalk that Ciara & Steven had put a deposit on prior to them cancelling their wedding due to their pregnancy… so Steven really wasn’t pushing the boat out at all – he was taking the safe route. But Eoinsy & Fra managed to convince him to take the extra step and go to a venue just outside of Dundalk – Darver Castle….. but it all came down to money…. Will Ciara get her dream venue? Or somewhere she knows really well?
Episode 4 - Richie Kelly & Sabrina Tyrell
Richie Kelly (34) & Sabrina Tyrell (33) have been together over 18 years – they were childhood sweethearts from Ballymun. They moved up to Ballyjamesduff in Cavan about 10 years ago where they have become known as the “Dulchies”. They have four children together – their children are so excited about their parents getting married! The longest time that Richie & Sabrina have ever spent apart is three days – so the three weeks was very tough on them both.
Richie really wants to make the day special for his bride to be – but he is definitely adamant about it being his day as well. So he decided to theme the wedding with his other loves – Casinos and James Bond. Sabrina didn’t want a themed wedding as she felt it would be tacky and also she felt if it was themed that they should plan that together.
Brian – Richies dad was his right-hand man throughout the process as they were all concerned about Richie not being able to make decisions and also not being good with money. Did Richie give Sabrina the country house she so adored or get the dream dress that Sabrina so craved?
Episode 5 - David Renton & Geraldine Smyth
David & Geraldine met each other over 8 years ago in the smoking section of Karma nightclub in Galway – they have been together ever since! David wants to organize the best day of Geraldine’s life – and also he wants the day for Ethan (10) & Jack (7) to be very special.
David’s wing men are Gavin & Barry – have a tough ole time trying to guide David in the right direction & also trying to convince him to do things for Geraldine – but David is very strong-willed and is determined to organize his day also!
Geraldine is a crazy Elvis fan & David is a crazy Star Wars fan – will he have Luke Skywalker at Gerladine’s dream day? Or will he have an Elvis themed wedding, which is Geraldine’s worst nightmare!
Episode 6 - Graham O’Neill & Rebecca Moorhead
Graham & Rebecca have been together for over three years. Rebecca actually proposed to him! So now she feels it is time for him to do something… Graham is renowned for being a completely mummy’s boy – will he be able to turnaround the boutique styled wedding that Rebecca craves? Or will the money decide where her wedding is going to be? The worst nightmare for Rebecca is for her wedding to take place in Mondello – where they went on their first date. Graham is a complete petrol head so it is a massive concern for Rebecca! Sookie their dog has to be part of the ceremony – will all of Grahams ideas come to fruition within the tight time frame?
Episode 7 - John Carroll & Lisa Walsh
Lisa & John are young sweethearts from Mooncoin in Co Kilkenny. They have wanted to get married forever. Johns idea of fun are football and going to the local pub in Mooncoin for a singsong – Lisas worst nightmare is that her dream day will take place in the local pub. Lisa has dreams of a country house which is stylish and sophisticated.
Lisa was completely confused as to what she wanted her dream dress – what she thought she wanted was what definitely did not suit her – there were tears, how was John going to buy her a dream dress if she didn’t know what she wanted? John also had to contend with two of his sisters who were bridesmaids who were fiery and were not going to let him dictate what dresses they would wear! Would John the usual cool calm lad from Mooncoin be able to handle the stress and pressure of a Don’t Tell the Bride wedding.
