Synopsis
Orphan elephant Sities begins her journey back into the wild.

In this second documentary special, we travel back to see the beloved Sities, the orphaned baby African elephant rescued in Kenya three years ago and brought to the world famous David Sheldrick Trust to be nurtured at the Nairobi Nursery.

We pick up from where For The Love Of Elephants left off, as young Sities, now three years old, prepares to say good bye to the Nursery and move southward for the next phase of her reintegration into the wild.

This beautiful film documents her graduation and first weeks of her new life at the Ithumba Stockade in Tsavo National Park. We join her as she gains many life lessons and builds on her independence daily, a process of gradual exposure to wild elephants and ex-orphans that will take many years.

It is the ultimate goal of the Trust to support the orphans full return to their natural life cycle – and their growing independence is crucial but not without bumps along the way.
