Synopsis
Royal Baby Fever grips the nation.

Not since the birth of Prince William back in 1982 had the arrival of a new baby been so eagerly anticipated. Twelve months on, Prince George, the future King of England, turns one. We look back at the first year of his life, and see how William and Catherine are adapting to the role as royal parents. On July 22nd 2013, the British Royal Family welcomed a new member, and more importantly, a new heir to the throne. After keeping the world's media waiting for days, it was finally announced that Catherine had given birth to a healthy baby boy. The scenes outside the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London became iconic. Next, it was all change for William and Catherine, as they broke with tradition and spent the first few weeks with George in the privacy of Bucklebury - the village where Catherine's parents live. And before long, the couple moved into their first family home - Kensington Palace - as they began their new life as parents. Being a new mum is stressful for all women, and while Catherine may not have the same worries the rest of the world does, she is the most scrutinised woman on the planet. We look at Catherine's first steps back into the limelight. All dads feel the pressure to provide for their kids, and while William certainly doesn't have this problem, he's had to re-assess his role in the RAF since the birth of Prince George. He surprised everyone by quitting the RAF and going back to university, to study at Cambridge. We will also look at how William and Catherine have managed to keep traditional royal roles, as well as breaking with protocol to bring up their son in the way they wish. From an intimate Christening, to their first Christmas at Sandringham, to Kate's holiday with the Middletons, the Cambridges have mostly made sure they are hands on parents. Kate and William also managed to get some alone time - as they headed on an exotic break away from their baby. We ask experts how important that time together is. And we look to the future. On March 17th, William said publicly that "one is enough", but how long will Prince George be an only child?
