Synopsis
Every year on August 1st, 15 million holidaymakers take to the roads of France in their cars and caravans. Thousands of them never make it to their final destination.
In 1998, 5000 people were injured and 20 died during the 48 hours the French call the 'Black Weekend'. At least one million of the plucky souls who brave this annual ordeal are British. Cutting Edge follows the Roper family as they attempt to gt from Norfolk to the South of France - with a caravan and several children in tow. Along the way they meet several Europeans who've taken on the traffic - and lost.
